The current members of The Council are shrouded in absolute secrecy. Their identities are known only to one another and to the most senior members of the society. This is by design — and by tradition stretching back centuries.
Legend holds that the original Council was formed in an age when practitioners of the arcane arts faced persecution and suspicion. To protect both the art and its guardians, the founders decreed that those who lead shall do so from the shadows.
